Design to impact communities

I’m Kelby Hertanu, currently designing for design systems at Asana. Before that, I’ve designed products at Varo Bank, Temenos, and Bluescape. What makes me tick is the opportunity to uplift and support communities, especially underrepresented ones.

I’m a designer that doesn’t shy away from complex and ambiguous problems. My experience has given me the opportunity to work across the entire design process to create interesting and valuable solutions.

Varo Design Language

I improved and scaled our design system by aligning our product teams and supporting a visual redesign across all of our customer apps to support an updated brand launch.

Response time improvements

I led the design for a feature set for our B2B and B2C apps that focused on improving bank agents’ service capabilities and overall customer satisfaction.
